10 "Nice Tops" to Wear with Jeans on a Night Out

Ask an Irish woman what she is wearing on 90% of her nights out (unless its a special occasion) and you will probably hear the words, "jeans and a nice top." The sad fact is, it is almost entirely impossible to find said nice top for a night out.

Automatically crop tops and bodysuits are discounted for most of us because A) lets be honest unless I am wearing a high waist skirt there is no way in hell I am going to try pull off a crop top and B) because I fucking hate bodysuits. They ride up in places that no clothing should go and are a nightmare to try close again after the inevitable dash to the loo. So that limits our nice tops to drought level since every bloody nice top on the market seems to be either a bodysuit or a crop top at the moment!

I decided to take matters into my own hands and search through a couple of sites to find that elusive nice top... Let me know what you think.

How to Dress Yourself Slimmer this Party Season

Christmas is coming, and to some that might strike fear into their heart as they think of all the parties, cocktails and dinners with the girls, nights out, Christmas dinners and twelve pubs outings it entails as they feel they need an outfit for every occasion. Some of us might also feel that we haven't reached our yearly goals of fitting into a certain dress size. Put down the meal replacement shakes and read on to find out how to dress yourself slimmer!

1. A deep V- neck top or dress will knock five pounds off you, especially if you have a larger bust as the V-neck draws attention to the slimmest part of pear shaped or hourglass girls which is the waist.  The dress below is one of my favourites. It is so flattering on the figure, it draws your eye towards the bust and in at the waist, and then it flares over hips. It is so comfortable as well, no need for Spanx with this dress!
It's from River Island but I bought it in a sale a year or two ago, so sadly it is not available…

I got my nails done recently in Beck's Beauty Salon in Maynooth. I was looking for something bright, summery and fun as I am going away on Wednesday to Portugal...totes excirah!

I hmmed and hawwed for ages about what sort of nail art I wanted, and eventually settled on a variation of this:

Here is a photo collage of what my nails actually turned out like after I opted for a coral instead of a hot pink :)

What you will need: A liner brush - This can be a very thin paintbrush or eyeliner brush
This is the Real techniques liner brush ( Pic via The non blonde)
A coral nail polish eg Rimmel Coralicious or OPI Toucan Do it available at carnegiemarquette.ieA white polish The Tip Ex look is okay hereA gold sparkly polish eg Barry M Glitter PaintA good top coat to seal in the polish Apply two layers  of polish on alternate nails in the style that you want, leave to dry.

Emma's Eco Soy Candles Review

I am an absolute divil for candles so when I came home after a stressful day to find this gorgeous package of goodies waiting for me, it is safe to say I was over the moon. I had heard about Emma's eco-soy candles via Twitter and other bloggers such as All the buzz had featured them on their blogs previously so I was delighted to test them out. The beauty behind these candles is that they are all made of completely natural ingredients such as essential oils and soy wax, none of your typical synthetic nasties. This means that they won't cause an artificial overpowering smell and the headaches that can go along with too-sweet scents. I received a Neroli fusion wax melt which I have burning here beside me in my makeshift oil burner aka a little fondue pot. I adore this scent it is so calming and relaxing. "A blend of light and precious Neroli blossom and sweet orange oil with a touch of musky lavender: soothing, floral and calming." I couldn't believe it when I checked…
